Matt is based in Courchevel, France as an independent through BASE snowsports during the winter. As ex-military he now works as a contractor during the summer and gets to work on top secret missions.
My Story
I have had an exciting journey in the world of skiing and snowboarding. I trained with ESF Courchevel 1850 and completed the BASI Level 4 International Ski Teaching Diploma at the age of 23, which allowed me to gain my full French equivalence. But I didn't stop there, I also achieved the highest level of instructor qualification on a snowboard, which is a rare accomplishment.
After a few years of working in the snow, I joined the Army, but I never really left the mountains. I continued to race, coach, and instruct for the Army, as well as teach in the Three Valleys. However, I realised that my true passion lies in teaching and sliding around with like-minded people, so I am now back in the mountains full time, working through BASE Snowsports. I am excited to share my vast technical knowledge and ability to teach with you.
